We made it to Friday!
This morning I woke up so sore…AGAIN! I grabbed a Luna bar and bottle on my way through the kitchen to Quinn’s room. We both woke up starving! Once she was fed and content, I passed her off to Daddy and buried myself back under the blankets of my cozy bed. I needed a bit more rest.
Umm… 11:00 rolls around and Rob had to wake me up. Apparently TRX really wore me down. It’s seriously such a good workout and I am glad I got over the nerves about attending a new class.
What is TRX?
The science behind this is pretty simple. Using the TRX straps requires you to balance which forces your body to use every single muscle fiber to support and assist. For example, while doing an exercise that targets the hamstrings, you are also using your core, inner and outer thigh, calves, booty, and sometimes your arms, back and chest!
At first, I found myself feeling like I was at the OBGYN… putting my legs in straps and getting in to weird positions took some getting used to. Once I figured out how to lengthen and shorten my straps, get into position and correct my form, I quickly realized that every muscle was on fire.
Although I wasn’t allowed to take pictures (lame, right?!) I want you to see what the heck you do during this class.
I absolutely love that this class is for all fitness levels. You have the option to make each exercise harder or easier depending on how you position yourself. Since I love this workout so much, I am considering getting certified. I have to do more research but I will keep you posted!
I literally was sore just snapping the buttons on Q’s onesie last night. Ouch.
Well I need to finish packing since I am traveling home this weekend. Expect a recap Sunday or Monday since eating healthy is always a little more difficult when I am not at home.
Have a GREAT weekend!
