Guess what day it is?! Hump DAYYY!
Yahoo! That means Rob
is off today has court and works later tonight, but we get to tackle some “new house” stuff! I started a chalkboard project and can’t wait to get it finished up. Dreading the pink tub and tile refinish, though.
So before I head over to get messy, I bring you a post you need in your life!
Everyone raves about kale chips, but a few people are still hesitant to try “baked lettuce.” If you are one of them, don’t be! They are super easy and a great alternative to potato chips when you have the urge to snack. I got you covered in this post to get you started on your first batch!
Why is kale better than my Doritos?
Get organicgirl 100% baby kale in 100% recycled plastic clamshell.
Open clamshell. (See fresh kale.)
Put fresh kale on a baking sheet.
Add olive oil and toss or spray with coconut oil. (Or your favorite oil spray.)
Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until crispy to the touch but not brown. They should be stiff like a chip.
Seriously. So. Easy. Normally, you would have to wash and rip up your kale then towel it off, but organicgirl has already washed3 which means they did your job and washed it obsessively so you don’t have to! Literally, you just open the clam shell and grab the kale. What a lifesaver for busy families!
In no particular order.
2) Ranch– just sprinkle it on lightly after coating with spray or olive oil.
3) Lemon Pepper- I prefer Mrs. Dash! Sprinkle after spraying with oil.

Where can I find it?
Check and see if organicgirl is stocked at a store near you. If not, that’s no problem! I would take my groceries delivered to my door any day! I think this is how I will be ordering some food from now on. Getting clean food is hard to find at the grocery store since it’s way over priced and not really what you think it is. For the 5oz clamshell it’s only $4.49. Make sure you snag their $1 off coupon, too!
And let me just add. I wanted to do this post on Earth Day because it is about organic greens (get it?) but organicgirl is so great about making sure they are only delivering the highest quality greens to consumers that I had to wait a little longer. They were having a slight shortage because the kale wasn’t good enough for their standards. What an amazing company!
