Happy hump day!
I’m in a super good mood today. I dunno… maybe it’s my Lava capris.
Maybe it’s my two cups of coffee, maybe it’s just because I feel great.
I just have to share this with you though because I had a killer workout yesterday and want you to enjoy it, too!
^^What I mean when I say killer^^
I have been doing some personal training with Jeff who owns Xtreme Homebody Fitness. I go twice a week and we target total body, but my goal is to ADD muscle. I’ve been lifting heavy and doing a lot of failure reps. This is in addition to my normal Beachbody workouts on other days. I don’t know about you, but sometimes it’s nice to have someone pushing you a bit harder than you would on your own.
Anyway (I’m rambling) this was what Jeff had me do yesterday.
- sumo deadlift 10 sets of 10
- Circuit 5 sets to failure: hammer curl + clean and press + tricep pushdown
- Circuit 5 sets to failure: lawnmower + chest press + chest fly
- Squat 5 sets of 10

One of my favorite things I am noticing about training at Xtreme is that Jeff treats you like a friend. He loves to chat and will talk to you about anything. During a Cross class, he walks around and talks to everyone or starts telling funny stories. There is such a feeling of community and it’s so needed when you decide to start living a healthy and fit life. #fitfamily
