Puttin’ That Fitness On A Pedestal

I’m breaking up with Beachbody.

I love being a coach.  I love fitness.  I love the workouts and nutrition plans.

But I’m not in love at the moment.

Before you interrupt me with a million questions (or at least that is something I would do) let me explain.

For a long time, I have been dreaming about this crazy idea of becoming a fitness model.  But it’s too much work, it’s really scary, I’m going to have critics, I might not ever get there…

But. But. But.

So there my idea sat… on the highest freaking pedestal there is.  Right up there with adoption, traveling to Europe and owning my own coffee house.

After reading Regina’s newsletter about procrastination, I finally realized that my idea might actually be attainable and why I have put it on a pedestal.  I am subscribed to her blog because she is a ninja/stalker and strikes my heart with all of her posts.  (Don’t worry, she already knows I think she is stalking me.)  This email was in regard to blogging, but if you read it, I am CERTAIN you can apply it to pretty much every area of your life.

I decided that I needed to face my fears like Jack in the Beanstalk and climb on up there to get it down.  Part of that process is posting it here for you to read.  Because things are officially serious biz if I share it on social media.

Now about that breakup.

I’m 100% serious and focused on training to be a fitness model.  In order for this to happen, I needed to fess up and realize that I can’t do this by myself.  I’ve been coaching and involved in the fitness world for a few years and while I like to think I know what I am doing based on my results, I know that there is always room to learn more.

So I am teaming up with a trainer at Fitness 4 All and taking a break from my Beachbody programs for a while.  It’s not that Beachbody programs can’t get me there or the workouts aren’t great, but it’s more about wanting to have my own coach and support system.

I’m really excited to learn some new things and I am hoping that I can pass on some great information to you as well!  Who knows, maybe there will be some cool fusion of Beachbody and personal training that I share on here.

I want you to know that I am still a Beachbody coach and I’m still here to help you!  Please reach out anytime you need me via comments here, my LIKE page, or emailing me at varietybyvashti AT gmail DOT com.

Wish me luck and stick around to see progress!  It’s about to get serious!

Does any of this apply to you?

Have you ever pulled a goal down from a pedestal?

What intrigues you most about fit modeling?  Workouts or nutrition?  Photo shoots?
