HGTV Christmas Tree Knockoff + Gift Guide

It has seriously taken me an entire week to decorate our tree.

Not because I chose something that was too difficult or time consuming, but because of a little “bad” elf named Quinn.

Day 1, I already had a broken ornament……my kid is getting coal.

Anyway…. I saw this tree on my new HGTV magazine and was instantly in love.  HGTV teal red Christmas tree

I wanted to change our decorations anyway, so I went with this design but on a much more affordable level.

DIY christmas tree decorations

HGTV christmas treeI got everything at Hobby Lobby for 50% off which is the price I am showing.

Red and teal bulbs $3.45 for 6 VS $7 for a set of 8 at <<I bought multiple sets of varied types

Teal and red sparkle bulbs $3.45-6 for sets of 2-4.

Black and white bulbs I used 6 pages of scrapbook paper $1.77 VS $30 each Kate Spade at

Garland was $10 VS $15 at

I added the letters for some fun!  If I get sick of them, I can always spray paint them a new color and use in a kiddo’s room or play area.  Each letter was $1 after the 50% discount.  I already owned the white spray paint.

Total cost was around $55.  Not too shabby for an entire new decor swap!  I won’t feel guilt for getting something new in a few years if I get sick of this.

Since I am in the Christmas spirit, I figured I would share my top 5 gift ideas for busy and fit ladies!  **Disclosure: Some of these links are affiliate links which means I could be compensated if you make a purchase.  Full disclosure policy statement here.**

1) Polar FT4 Heart Rate Monitor which I also posted about last year, here.  I love mine and would recommend it to anyone.

2) Norpro Stainless Steel Oil Mister because it’s fun and healthy to use infused oils and spritz it on while cooking.

3) PRO Compression Socks because they are really helping my legs recover faster after tough workouts.

4) Jamberry Nail Wraps because busy ladies don’t always have time to get their nails done and we also get pissed if it chips during a workout.  I never have that problem anymore.

5) Jabra SPORT+ Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Headphones or Jabra SPORT PULSE Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Earbuds with Built-In Heart Rate Monitor because these rock!  I know because I OWN them!  It’s so nice not having to deal with wires!
