I’ve been itching to get this house decorated. Thankfully, with some Christmas decorations, our house looks like a home, but those are getting taken down ASAP.
Sorry, but I am ready to have my un-cluttery house back.
So now that we have our furniture in the front living room, I am ready to get some things hung up on the walls. I’m thinking I want to create a gallery wall or two. Here are a few things that are inspiring me:
Rob says I am a hoarder, but I prefer to think of myself as thrifty. I’ve been hanging on to this stupid Eiffel Tower picture I bought years ago. (French bathroom… wtf was I thinking?!)
I knew I could spray paint it vs just tossing it, so here is what I did!
I just decided how wide I wanted the stripes. I traced them taped them off with Scott’s Blue Painter’s Tape.
Spray paint does wonders. I started with a few coats of white. Once it was dry, I taped off the rest to spray paint the black. After a few coats of that and more dry time, I added the heart with craft glue and gold glitter.
I love it! The best part is that this cost me $0. I already had everything I needed.
I can’t wait to finish a gallery wall and update you on the finished project!
Do you have any wall art that you have created?
Are you a fan of gallery walls?
What’s one decor item you look back on and wonder wtf you were thinking?
