What up my fitties?!
I have a new obsession for breakfast and I can’t keep this hoarded to myself because the goodness is just too much.
Say hello to my little frenh. Cauliproats!
originally saw cauliproats floating around on the inter-web-nets and my fellow competitor Christi Lynn Fit shared a quick video of her version.
P.S. she so cute!
I knew I could tweak it a bit and make it work for my strict bro diet plan.
Let’s back up and chat about what cauliproats are exactly…
cauliflower + protein + oats = warm, sweet, delicious heaven
Snow thank you, April. 😫 I’m warming up with some #vashtiproats so I can deal. Today I used 3T @muscleegg choc caramel and 3T regular egg whites. @dymatize cinnamon bun and the rest is usual. If you tap #vashtiproats you can see how I make these. Basically the cauliflower adds sweetness and a whole lotta volume but I keep carbs lower than if I did all oats. #yourewelcome #breakfastofchampions #preplife #prepapproved #oats #cauliproats #BikiniCompetitor
The cauliflower adds some micronutrients and a sweet flavor (don’t worry it’s not weird) plus volume to your bowl. You still get the protein bang with your egg whites and protein powder, but keep carbs low with just a bit of dry oats.
Just trust me on this one, mmmk?!
I prefer to use Muscle Egg for my egg whites since they have some flavor but keep my macros in check. I use Dymatize as my whey isolate ALWAYS. Amazing protein right thurr.

My favorite flavor combos:
- “Birthday Bowl”: Cake Batter Muscle Egg + Birthday Cake Dymatize
- “PMS Proats”: Chocolate Caramel Muscle Egg + Cinnamon Bun Dymatize
Really, you can put together so many flavor combinations! (This fall I will make “Basic White Girl Proats”: Pumpkin Spice Muscle Egg + Cinnamon Bun Dymatize!)
Here’s how I whip it up!
- Toss about 1/4 – 1/2 cup raw chopped cauli in a bowl with about 1/4 c water. Microwave for 2-3 minutes.
- Mash cooked cauli up with a fork then add 1/4 c dry oats, 2 egg whites (plain or Muscle Egg) and extra water if needed. Cook another 90 seconds.
- Stir it all up and add 1/2 – 1 scoop whey isolate. Top with whatever else your macros allow and your little heart desires!
**You can add nut butters and other fun toppings if your macros and plan allows! This also works with just plain egg whites and top them with some yolk porn for a version like this…
Are you drooling yet?
