Air Fryer Double Chocolate Protein Brownies!!

You’ve seen the teasers that my Air Fryer Eats ebook was coming… I’ve compiled the air fryer FAQs I get most!

What can you make in an air fryer?

Everything.  Literally.  We have made fried veggies (kale chips) to this brownie or even quesadillas.  Basically, if you can bake it or deep fry it, you can air fry it!  It just takes a little practice… I burned a few batches of kale chips and had some stuff just never get the right level of crispy but seem dry instead, but you will get it and LOVE it since I have the recipes down to a science for you.

We do throw in packaged things, too; chicken nuggets, onion rings, cauli tots, sweet potato fries, etc.  I cook bacon on 350 for a few minutes to save a lot of time and cleanup.  I’ve even been super lazy and “grilled” our turkey dogs in the air fryer.

In my ebook I also have a basic breadcrumb coating recipe that you can use to make your own:

  • blooming onion
  • crispy green beans
  • zucchini fries
  • fried pickles
  • cauliflower tots
  • chicken nuggets
  • popcorn shrimp
  • mushroom caps, etc

Why air fry vs deep fry vs bake?

If I am making something small, I hate heating the whole oven so it’s easier to just pop it into the air fryer.  I do Quinn’s little quesadillas and nuggets this way… just dump in and turn on, no oil needed.  Of course, with using only up to a tablespoon of oil to make your own concoctions, it’s much more healthy than deep frying.  You also don’t have the awful smell of deep frying!

We don’t make a whole meal in it (I would use the oven for that) but it’s nice to whip up some crispy garlic potatoes or sweet potato fries while we grill chicken.  Most things that I toss in are really time saving, too.  Air fry for just a few minutes versus baking for 20-30 minutes.

What brand of air fryer do you have?

I started with this Farberware on Amazon but now that I know I love this thing (we use it at least once a day) and it is on our counter, I want to get this version.  Clean look, bigger basket and even more functions like a digital screen!

What cooking utensils do you use in your air fryer?

Anything that is oven safe would be fine to use.  The trick is to find mini versions that will fit in the air fryer basket.  Here is what I use most: (Target and Marshall’s finds!)

So let’s get to the good stuff that you have all been waiting for!

What do I get in the Air Fryer Eats Cookbook?

I have 32 recipes for you in these pdf files.  These are tried and true in our house!

Best Ever Air Fryer Banana Bread made high protein, gluten free and lower fat. Stays moist and has a cinnamon toast crunch topping. The recipes I’ve included range from sweets to veggies, savory sides and even some personal meal options which come in handy for picky eaters and it’s fun because you can make your own individual creations in just minutes.

Another bonus:  I did my best to calculate macros for each recipe!  So if you are IIFYM, you can have somewhat of an idea as to the macros for a serving or the entire batch.  As always, you can never be 100% accurate because your ingredients may be slightly different so I encourage you to still track your macros for whatever you decide to make.

In a bowl, mash the banana. Add applesauce, cocoa, Nutrakey and chocolate chips and stir to combine.

Other ideas:
Mix in walnuts or peanut butter chips. Swap flavors of Nutrakey. Enjoy as a single serve brownie skillet bowl with some Halotop and PB2 drizzled on top!

What if you added a little crushed up Oreo cookie or graham cracker and mini marshmallows to the batter?...
